A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for part of Gatineau.

It's affecting homes in the Cote d'Azur area.

The City of Gatineau advises boiling water for one minute before consuming it. In the event that water is discoloured, open the cold water tap and let water run until it's clear again.

It's called "gardening for groceries"; an idea a woman south of Ottawa had to help food banks in need because one had been there for her when she needed it most. With every seedling Lesley Johansen plants, she is cultivating hope and promise. One day after a cyclist was rescued from the Rideau Canal, the National Capital Commission (NCC) confirms it has received calls from people asking for increased fencing along a stretch of the famous waterway. Windmill vows jobs and collaboration with Algonquin on ‘Zibi’ development

Algonquin construction workers and tradesmen will play a key role in the redevelopment of the former Domtar site on the Ottawa River as part of what is being called a historic collaboration between the Algonquin-Anishinabe Nation and private industry in Ottawa. Energy Minister Bob Chiarelli told a summit of energy companies in Toronto in early May that he’s working on legislation that’s mostly about adjusting the way Ontario’s main regulator for the industry, the Ontario Energy Board, works once the province sells off a majority share in Hydro One, its main transmission utility.
