One day after a cyclist was rescued from the Rideau Canal, the National Capital
Commission (NCC) confirms it has received calls from people asking for increased
fencing along a stretch of the famous waterway. "Since 2011, the NCC has
received four complaints about the lack of fencing along the Rideau Canal,
section from Bronson Ave. to Hog's Backs," NCC spokeswoman Jasmine Leduc told
the Sun on Wednesday. via
