Wednesday, adding it to six or seven others that are in working condition and
two or three in need of some tender loving care. Why does he need so many
chainsaws? It’s nothing malevolent. Dagg, 36, is a professional chainsaw carver.

their environment, in many cases in order to rejuvenate the landscape. That
practice has declined dramatically since the arrival of European settlers and,
historically, says Parks Canada, the 1000 Islands region has suffered as a

All Hélène Cayer wants is to plant lilies and lemon balm on the grassy strip
between the sidewalk and the street. It’s city property, but she says city
officials have told her for years they’re OK with that, as long as she put a
little fence around the flowers. She bought one, the white wire kind used for
edging, at the Dollar Store. via

The absence of a bike lane or any other cycling infrastructure along a busy
one-kilometre stretch of Ogilvie Road is a “giant missing link” for cyclists
travelling between the eastern and western ends of the city, Beacon
Hill-Cyrville Coun. Tim Tierney says. And with a section of Ogilvie currently
torn up to install the new $75-million Orléans water main link, Tierney says now
