The city broke ground Thursday on a foot bridge over the Rideau River that will
link Sandy Hill and Vanier. The $9.2-million pedestrian and cycling bridge will
connect the neighbourhoods of Overbrook and Vanier in the east, via Donald
Street, with Sandy Hill and the University of Ottawa in the west, via Somerset
Street East and Strathcona Park. via
