Ontario has seen its first possible case of the West Nile Virus and although it was in the Muskoka area, health officials here say Ottawa isn't immune to the virus.
Officials with Ottawa Public Health say we've been lucky so far this year.
"There has been a higher number of mosquitoes in general, just because the late spring season, but as far as the genus that produces, or is the predominant carrier of West Nile Virus, we haven't seen a huge increase," Craig Calder with OPH told CFRA.
