By Julia Ringma, Ottawa Citizen Letter to the Editor, October 10, 2014

Re: Wellington Village bike corral removed after complaints, Oct. 8. The removal of the bike corral in Wellington Village is a case of short-sightedness. Each bike on the road means one less car on the road. via Letter: Bike corral meant fewer cars on roads | Ottawa Citizen.

Ottawa Votes: Development fights define Kitchissippi … as usual
Ottawa Citizen

By David Reevely, Ottawa Citizen, October 20, 2014 Kitchissippi eats its city councillors. Linda Davis, Shawn Little, Christine Leadman. And maybe now Katherine Hobbs.

It’s development fights that do it. The neighbourhoods west of downtown are hot, they’ve kept up an unbelievable pace of change and redevelopment for years, they’re full of traffic and soon to be served by light rail. Hobbs, as has happened to each of her predecessors, is under attack for not doing enough to stop it all, or at least channel all the change into something beloved by the tens of thousands of people who already live in Hintonburg, Wellington West, Westboro, Highland Park. via Ottawa Votes: Development fights define Kitchissippi … as usual | Ottawa Citizen.
