TransCanada is holding an open house in Kemptville this evening on the controversial Energy East Pipeline, which would see crude oil transported from the oil sands in Alberta to refineries in Quebec and New Brunswick.
.A number of Ottawa-area groups opposed to the 12-billion dollar project, including Ecology Ottawa are slated to attend.
Ben Powless with Ecology Ottawa tells CFRA they want to learn more about a leaked marketing plan that would allegedly see TransCanada use third-party voices to discredit their oponents.
"We're going to ask them some questions about, you know, ... whether they intend to go into the records of our volunteers, whether they intend to go after grannies who give us money every month to continue doing the work that we're doing," said Powless.
