More complaints as pesticide plagued school reopens: 3 staff, 1 pupil go home sick

Pesticide problems continued at Charles H. Hulse Public School on Monday when, on the day the school reopened, three teachers and one student went home complaining of headaches, nausea, itchy eyes and sore throats. The symptoms are similar to those reported by numerous students and staff last month after the school was sprayed with a pesticide intended for outdoor use. Uber driving city’s taxi rules review

Taxi drivers are looking to put the brakes on any rule changes that could give start-up companies like Uber a free ride in Ottawa. The city’s community and protective services committee gave staff the go-ahead on May 21 to review taxi and limousine regulations in an effort to catch up to “emerging technologies,” or the arrival of Uber and other app-based transportation companies that operate outside the city’s highly-regulated taxi industry. via Uber driving city’s taxi rules review.

O-Train pathway to mend missing link

It’s happened to many a-downtown cyclist: you arrive at Dow’s Lake from across the city only to be stopped short when you head to the Ottawa River. Free tricycle taxi for seniors looks to bridge generational gap in Vanier

Seniors will have a green way to roll around Vanier this summer. The Vanier Community Service Centre has launched a new program, called One City, One Bike, which will see young cyclists cart seniors around the neighbourhood on taxi-tricycles.
