That spiffy outdoor room you’re planning? It may not be the kindest thing you
can do for the planet, according to Carson Arthur of HGTV’s Critical Listing and
other shows. Sacrificing greenery in favour of couches, a firepit and an outdoor
kitchen means you’re eliminating absorbers, even if small ones, of
climate-changing carbon dioxide and maybe having to give up space for an
eco-friendly vegetable garden. via
