Construction begins on new foot bridge linking Sandy Hill, Vanier

The city broke ground Thursday on a foot bridge over the Rideau River that will link Sandy Hill and Vanier. O-Train to shut for four days on weekends for expansion work

OC Transpo has announced the O-Train will close on four days on upcoming weekends to finish the current phase of of the service’s expansion project.Sunday, July 27, will be the first shutdown. Josh Dagg bought himself a thousand-dollar chainsaw for his 36th birthday Wednesday, adding it to six or seven others that are in working condition and two or three in need of some tender loving care. Why does he need so many chainsaws? It’s nothing malevolent. Dagg, 36, is a professional chainsaw carver. City of Ottawa launches second pilot program to encourage street recycling

The absence of a bike lane or any other cycling infrastructure along a busy one-kilometre stretch of Ogilvie Road is a “giant missing link” for cyclists travelling between the eastern and western ends of the city, Beacon Hill-Cyrville Coun. Tim Tierney says.
