It’s not hard to paint a picture of your typical resident of the Glebe, one of the city’s oldest and most treasured neighbourhoods.Glebeites, as they’re called, are mostly affluent: more than half of its residents are in the top fifth of Canadian income earners, and three-quarters are in the top half.
They are educated: 90 per cent have at least some post-secondary education. And they are politically engaged: voter turnout is above average for elections at all levels of government.
