Flooding closes part of ByWard Market street

By CBC News Ottawa, August 31, 2019

A section of ByWard Market Square remains closed Saturday after a broken water main Friday evening caused significant flooding.

The road between Clarence Street and York Street is closed to vehicles, though the sidewalk on the western side of the street is open to pedestrians.

(...)Construction crews were on the scene late Saturday morning to fix the break.

"Staff were able to isolate the break last night and all adjacent properties affected now have water. Excavation and work for the water main repairs are now underway," said Paul Montgomery, acting director of water services, in an email Saturday afternoon.
