Wednesday is the astronomical event of the year for people who love meteor
showers. The Perseid meteor shower coincides with a new moon this year, meaning
an extra bright array of shooting stars. Local astronomer Gary Boyle plans to be
watching the show from his countryside home outside of Ottawa but he’s
encouraging everyone in and outside of the city to stay up late on Wednesday.
