A day after the federal government pledged $1 billion toward Phase 2 of Ottawa’s
light rail transit project, the provincial government said it’s still reviewing
the city’s request for its share of the estimated $3 billion project. But
Ottawa-Orléans MPP Marie-France Lalonde did say the province “was first at the
table for Phase 1″ and has been “consistently clear that we are at the funding
table for Phase 2.” via
