Bumblebees are being squeezed in “a kind of climate vise,” a new Canadian study
says: Dying out in southern regions that become too hot for them, yet unable to
expand their range north. Many other plants and animals are shifting their whole
range north as northern winters become milder. But wild bumblebees just can’t do
this, and they may be just as important in pollinating plants as domestic
honeybees. via
