Some of the hundreds of Ottawa parents whose children will be walking to school
instead of taking the bus next year are worried about safety. New walk zones
have been created that deem children in specific areas ineligible to take the
school bus because they are too close to school. Last week, dozens of schools in
Ottawa handed out letters to parents after the Ottawa Student Transportation
Authority developed safer walking routes. via
