Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for the Ottawa area early
Saturday, warning of “unseasonably cool wind-driven rain” over the weekend. A
low pressure system arriving from the American Midwest on Saturday will spread
rain across southern Ontario from west to east through the day. The rain began
over Southwestern Ontario Saturday morning and will work its way eastward,
reaching Eastern Ontario Saturday night, according to the agency. Indications
