When an unlucky deer crashed through a living room window in Kanata earlier this
month, there’s a good chance it had been pushed out of its home by housing
construction at nearby. That’s according to Donna DuBreuil, director of the
Ottawa-Carleton Wildlife Centre, and it’s all the more reason the city should be
looking to strengthen its wildlife construction protocol, not gut it, she said.
