Gatineau residents say no to highrises near Canadian Museum of History - Ottawa - CBC News

A group of Gatineau residents is saying no to a proposed development project that would see two towers - one 35 storeys, the other 55 storeys - built facing the Canadian Museum of History. "We feel that it's an unbalanced development – 55 storeys, half of the Empire State building, next to a little heritage neighbourhood made up of little two or three-storey homes that's been here for 100 years," said Lissa Constantine, a member of the group Protect the Museum Quarter who has lived in the neighbourhood for 20 years. via Gatineau residents say no to highrises near Canadian Museum of History - Ottawa - CBC News.
