A plastics-to-fuel company has abruptly abandoned plans to open in Smiths Falls
after a resident appealed town council’s decision to rezone the former Hershey
Plant lands to accommodate the new business. Summit Energy had announced plans
to launch a 60,000-square-foot plastics recycling operation in the former
chocolate factory, which remains mostly vacant. via
