City Matters: Ottawans think city should do more to promote public transportation

An Ottawa environmental group says that public transportation is one of the most important aspects of building a “world class green city,” but local residents think Ottawa doesn’t seem to be doing enough to increase ridership. A survey conducted for Metro by MQO Research shows only 38 per cent of Ottawans think the city is doing enough to encourage people to use public transit, with 50 per cent of respondents thinking a lot more can be done.
