The Nature Conservancy of Canada plans to buy 30 hectares of land on the Ottawa
River to protect Canada’s longest — and perhaps most mysterious — underwater
caves. The Gervais caves, named for the family that now owns the land, run four
kilometres through limestone rock near Westmeath, east of Pembroke. via
