A 25-year-old woman was hit by a bus Monday morning on Baseline Road near
Rockway Crescent, a spot some area residents say is prone to car accidents and
should be controlled with a signal light. Initial media reports said the woman
had been crossing the road, but Ottawa Paramedics disputed the report, saying
those reports were erroneous. Police have not said how the collision transpired,
offering up in an email only that the woman was struck around 6:52 a.m. and she
was taken to hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. via
