A 59-year-old man was taken to hospital following a chemical spill at the
city-run Plant Recreation Centre on Somerset Street West on Tuesday afternoon,
according to Ottawa paramedics. Three other employees were treated for
irritation of the nose, throat and eyes after being exposed to fumes from a
chlorine and acid mixture near the pool, paramedics said. via
