About 46,000 hydro customers in Ottawa and the Outaouais were left without power
and numerous trees and power lines were down throughout the city as a severe

Quebec, about 35,000 Hydro Quebec customers were without power in the Outaouais,
near Ottawa. In Ottawa, more than 11,000 Hydro Ottawa customers were without
