The Ontario Power Authority is funding a $182,000 project to put
motion-detecting sensors in 35 homes, including 15 in Ottawa, to test their
efficiency in saving homeowners money on their energy bills. Energy minister Bob
Chiarelli made the announcement in Ottawa Thursday, with representatives of ASE
Smart Energy Inc., a local engineering and tech company that made the
“RetroSAVE” product. via
