A McEwen Fuels tanker carrying furnace oil slipped at least 30 metres down an
embankment after going off the road on Highway 416 near the Queensway late
Monday afternoon. While the driver appeared to have suffered only minor
injuries, Ottawa fire crews at the scene of the 5 p.m. accident had to spread
plastic tarps around the tanker in case it began leaking. via
