A Rideau-Vanier municipal candidate is proposing to transform a block of Waller
Street into a one-way street at Rideau Street to divert some of the trucks and
cars from using the busy and sometimes dangerous intersection. Marc Aubin said
removing the northbound lane on Waller Street will make it safer for pedestrians
and cyclists as interprovincial trucks that usually take that route will be
forced to take Nicholas to the Queensway, instead of the tricky left turn onto
Waller. via
