The arena portion of Chelsea’s $10-million community centre has been closed down
indefinitely while air quality crews deal with growing mould issues inside the
building. Recent air tests in the Meredith Centre hockey arena confirm that
spore counts are above acceptable limits, and the municipality decided to close
the building down immediately to avoid any health issues with hockey players and
figure skaters using the ice. via
