Plasco Energy laid off 12 employees this week after the company decided not to
keep spending money on operating its waste-to-energy demonstration plant at full
capacity. “We are going to operate the facility on a reduced basis,” said
Plasco’s vice-president of public affairs Edmond Chiasson, adding that the
company will continue to work on specific aspects of its system. via
