Fresh off its win from one arbitration with Orgaworld, the city is headed into
another dispute with the organics processing company: The city doesn’t believe
the Orgaworld facility can really handle the maximum green-bin compostables
called for in the contract. “We believe there’s a question whether the plant can
process 100,000 tonnes,” city manager Kent Kirkpatrick said late Wednesday. “It
became even more of a question when the arbitrator ruled in our favour and said
that the city has the right to send leaf-and-yard waste to Orgaworld.” via
