A draft of the community design plan for the former Rockcliffe air base is
complete and is now headed to city staff for approval. The plans, completed in
late June, were submitted on June 27 for review and approval. Canada Lands
Company, the crown corporation managing the 125 hectares of land east of
downtown for the federal government, showed off its preferred plan for the site
in February. Don Schultz, Canada Lands real estate director for the property,
said the draft is very close to that plan -but for a few refinements based on
resident comments. via
