That the city came out on top of a long-standing dispute with Orgaworld is
undeniably good news. An arbitration ruling, released to the public this week,
dismissed the waste management company’s $1.3-million claim against the city.
Even better, the decision left no doubt that by refusing to accept and process
tens of thousands of tonnes of leaf and yard waste over the past few years,
Orgaworld was in default on its contract with the city. via
