Bystanders may have cheered when a crash test dummy flew down a track on a
bicycle and collided with an oncoming car at Carleton University on Friday, but
the engineering experiment could gather serious data on similar accidents.
Fourth-year students in the university’s mechanical and aerospace engineering
program – along with students at Algonquin College – conducted the crash to
gather data on potential injuries that could occur in a bicycle accident. via
