When it comes to potholes, the city's public works department believes an ounce
of prevention is worth a pound of cure. At a cost of $6 million, the city's more
proactive approach to potholes, including the addition of a pothole hotline to
its 3-1-1 or online at ServiceOttawa.ca and maintaining road crews year-round --
appears to be paying off. via
