Ottawa residents and visitors can now skate the entire length of the Rideau
Canal Skateway after the National Capital Commission opened the last section on
Saturday. All 7.8 kilometres of the skateway are now open, with the Patterson
Creek and the Hartwells Locks areas opening Saturday morning. via
